About the Owner
Annette Rumpel opened Sequins & Sweats to serve the dance community in 2004. This is just the latest expression of her love for dance. Annette began dancing at age 3. She was a teacher/choreographer at The Dance Connection for 15 years. She has over 30 years of dance experience. Simply stated, Annette knows the dance world. Combined with her years of experience in retail clothing for dancers and gymnasts, “Miss Annette” is the local expert you can turn to with questions about dance, gymnast and cheerleader attire. About the Store
Sequins & Sweats was established to service the local dance, gym, cheer and exercise community. Whether your style of dance is ballet, hip-hop, Irish, jazz, liturgical, tap, modern, or any other type, we have the clothing to suite your needs. If you cannot find what you are looking for, we can order it for you. Perhaps you are into gymnastics or cheerleading, theater or exercise; we also have the clothing to suite your needs. And if we do not have what you are looking for, we will be happy to order it for you. For your organizational needs, we can supply uniforms and custom clothing for dance troupes, cheerleading squads, gymnast teams, and classroom dress codes.
Sequins & Sweats stocks and can order the latest in high-quality, brand names in dancewear from Bloch, Bun Heads, Capezio, Dance Paws, G.K., Heart & Soul, Pony Bun, Rutherford, and more. We welcome you to take a Virtual Tour of our store. Then come visit us in person. We are centrally located just down the road from the Oakdale Mall and Wegman’s in Johnson City, NY. We are open during after school hours Monday through Friday and Saturday afternoon.
